64-bit Computers
Newer computers have entered the marketplace. They are sleeker and faster than their contemporaries and most of them now contain Windows 7 (a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation).
Some of the newer computers today are what is referred to as 64-bit computers, which mean they contain a processor capable of processing 64-bits of information rather than the ususal 32-bits of memory. 64-bit computers are also capable of having more than 2 or 3 Gigs of computer memory.
The most important fact about the 64-bit computers is that if they are running Windows 7 (64-bit version), Micro-Muni 7.1 will not operate correctly. In fact you may encounter many of your older software programs will not operate on 64-bit computers running Windows 7 (64-bit) version.
However, if your 64-bit machine is running Windows 7 (32-bit version), Micro-Muni should work as always.
To determine the Windows 7 version you are running (32-bit or 64-bit), open the Control Panel and select System.
Another noted fact is that 64-bit computers, running Windows 7 (64-bit) version, may require the 64-bit drivers for accessories, like printers, scanners, etc.
Check with your hardware manufacturer for the appropriate drivers.
